PTA or Protegent is an application that records all trading activities of TIAA-CREF access personnel into their personal accounts in compliance with SEC Rule 17j-1, Investment Company Institute recommendations. I was involved in soliciting and managing the requirements and also worked as a Sr. Business Analyst and SME on the IT side in this project during the fit-gap analysis, data conversions and building of new feeds to map to new vendor. Responsible for leading a major conversion while switching vendors from Kaplan to RegEd. RegEd is an application that maintains the licensing and registrations information for TIAA employees who are licensed to sell TIAA-CREF financial products. I worked as a Sr. Business Analyst and SME on the IT side in this project during the fit-gap analysis, data conversions and building of new feeds to map to new vendor. Worked with the business in brainstorming and designing a new application to maintain regulatory hierarchy which is now used as the central regulatory hierarchy record keeping application at TIAA-CREF. Lead Business Analyst on using Element-K for surveys and certifications required by business in order to be in compliance with SEC rules and regulations. Responsible for mapping business processes and presenting recommendations for improving process efficiencies and reducing manual interventions.  Responsible for understanding business needs, gain knowledge, map processes, gain approval from business partners and develop business and technical documents. Responsible for following SDLC process and adhering to the Change Control policies and standards

 Led the migration; business analysis and knowledge transfer of couple of market risk applications that were acquired from Prudential as part of the merger. These applications acquired data for positions, securities and transactions for loading to the market risk database.  Responsible for reviewing and analyzing the existing Prudential system. Also responsible for developing business requirements to meet Wachovia business needs. Involved in developing use case diagrams and writing user requirements and functional requirements and obtaining appropriate sign off and approvals from the key Wachovia stake holders and business personnel. Responsible for coordinating work efforts with off-shore development team. Generated unit and integration test plans, and conducted system training. Followed SDLC process to meet IT and business expectations and achieve a high quality product.

• Worked on a web-based CRM application that allows customers to choose new service by browsing price plans and allows existing customers to change them. Specifically, worked on an enhancement to integrate this application with an external BellSouth webservice to get customer service records using SOAP. Application used Struts, JSP’s and SQL Server. • Developed multi-threaded Java application that automates online customer updates to the billing system.

• Responsible for meeting with the customers, understanding their needs and their current issues and build use cases and business requirements on HealthNet system, which is a billing/tracking system used at hospitals to track patient information and services rendered.• Responsible for working with development staff to write the functional requirements and the technical design to build the application.

• Involved in the design and implementation of software that would automate the production support for NetBackup product. NetBackup product is used to take a backup of either a repository or a lot of code. The code is written in Motive environment using Java Script and building XML entities. I was involved in gathering requirements from production support team and implementation.• Eliminated internal errors by integration and QA testing the technical enhancements.

• Worked on a project called Price Plan Management which was a software used by AT&T and Sprint for their cell phone pricing.• Worked on a project called Convergent Care which was a web application enabling the CRM component of wireless billing software using JSP / Servlets.
