My role as design director was essentially one of guidance. I worked with a mixed team of talented professionals with different core competencies and experiences, encouraging and guiding them towards a unified outcome. It was important to have clarity of vision for design, complete knowledge of the design brief and instinctive understanding of client expectations. My role included and wasn’t limited to the following:Design Direction • Leading the process of creating and developing the fundamental design principles to guide the project from the earliest stages of its conception and continuing to assist in its development and refinement through subsequent design and documentation phases.• Fostering a design-oriented atmosphere.• Keeping up to date with market trends and new innovations.• Assessment and debriefing management – celebrating the wins, analyzing the losses, and discussing solutions to improve for next time.Studio Management• Managing a project from briefing to completion – taking client briefs, consolidating client’s needs, assigning designers to a project, managing outputs and ensuring deadlines are met. • Reviewing daily resource and workload schedules and reassigning work when needed.• Creating timeline estimates for design time, documentation and print management• Keeping everyone up to date on a project’s status – consultants, clients and the team.• Quality control: Ensuring the design brief is addressed across all stages of the project • Proofreading – double, triple checking of documents before they leave the studio.• General Administration – archiving and backing data, file management, ensuring all mails are answered, troubleshooting to ensure all deadlines are met. Keeping things in line.

I was part of a four-person faculty team for the 5th semester Bachelor of Architecture design studio. My role dealt with introducing architecture students to the basics of landscape design and how to design in harmony with the site and use landscape as a tool to inform building design.

As a freelance landscape designer, I worked on primarily private residences of varying scales and budgets in India. My work included concept design, design development and construction documentation along with site visitation.

My work profile included designing, detailing and meeting with various stakeholders on a number of projects in Bali and in Bhutan. I was primarily working on a Streetscape Renewal Strategy for the city of Phuentsholing in Bhutan, and my work consisted of designing and preparing presentations, meeting with the city authorities in Bhutan. I also worked on Master planning of the Bali turtle Island Development and concept design and site study for a couple of private villas and a resort in Bali.

As a landscape architect, I was personally responsible for a number of projects of varying scales and typologies. My work profile included but wasn’t limited to generating design concepts, making presentations, producing working drawings, and attending meetings with service consultants, architects and clients. I worked on a number of multiple level housing developments with some of the leading developers in India, I also worked on large mixed use developments. In my tenure here I also presented and co-authored a paper on Greenways for the Fabos Greenway Conference 2013, Boston.

I was the assistant project co-coordinator for the Delhi Heritage Route Project and the Delhi: A Heritage City Project. My work profile consisted of preparing the detailed project report and book, concept proposals for the various sites in co-ordination with multiple design consultants and handouts for meetings, publications and presentations. My work profile included coordination with vendors, contractors and design consultants for the final project proposal to the Delhi Government.

My work profile consisted of assisting lead architect in design. My work profile included preparing presentations, design development drawings and construction drawings with estimates for architectural projects and interior design projects.
