Not oblivious to physical suffering as a medical doctor and my own individual pursuit of understanding myself, 'figuring out life', led me to reflect, evolve and realize that mental health and well being is such a crucial part of self-care - perhaps the very foundation of everything we are, we do, we aspire to do/become and achieve. However, understanding and assuaging your own mind is more subtle and often neglected. Mindfulness happened to me by a stroke of good luck. To me it is a binary enigma - Incredibly ordinary and extraordinary, simple and complex, prophylactic and therapeutic, which relaxes and awakens, all at the same time. As a daily mindfulness practitioner, the awareness, equanimity and gratitude that emerges continues to be transformational and liberating at many levels. Mindful living resonates with me even more because of its simplicity, innateness and its secular, non-conflicting and non-dogmatic nature. Extremely passionate about empowering myself and all around me to becomes the best version of themselves, making a career switch still within the heath care space to Mental health - Psychology and Mindfulness- was a very organic choice.
