Working closely with the category strategy controller on category vision and strategy that aims to deliver Category growth (more bakery in every basket). Specific role responsibilities included promotional analysis and merchandising support both internally and with our retail customers.

Leeds

Started as an Buyers admin assistant in the Frozen Food team, moving onto buying my own sub-department (Vegetarian and Free From). Part of this role involved trading negotiations with meat free brands and private label suppliers. I also developed and landed a new PL range which contributed to category growth delivering healthy margins and double digit yoy.

My first job after graduating. I joined the Central European sourcing team working closely with in-country buyers and the core U.K. Buying team to align buying terms to create pan-European branded agreements that delivered better terms and product quality for CE Tesco. Categories included stationery and seasonal xmas. This was a great 1st step into retail.

Derby

Completed a Year in Industry with RR Civil aerospace working on customer accounts (china region) to maintain standard terms of leasing with the Trent 500 engine on China Eastern Airlines. Part of my time included visiting Airbus Toulouse and China itself. A brilliant YINI experience!
