Collaborating with the GovTech team to enhance the user experience of MOM's work permit portal.

I am dedicated to creating seamless experiences for youth as they navigate through life's milestones. I have been in this role since April 2021 and have been responsible for:- Leading research and design thinking activities to support the youth journey- Overseeing the design and development of the youth self-serve portal- Offering expert consultancy for business process reviews across various NYC business units- Establishing and managing a youth UX panel to enhance NYC's design thinking capabilities

During my time here I was responsible for : - Writing UX strategies for proposals- Developing presentations for pitches that effectively communicate ideas and principles- Presenting UX ideas, design thinking methodologies, and case studies to clientsIn terms of project work, I was responsible for the entire design process for projects assigned to me, from conducting user research to usability testing and developing prototypes for client consideration. This involved interpreting and synthesizing data to generate insights, creating user stories and wireframes, and determining information architecture. My aim was to deliver effective and user-friendly designs that met both the business and user goals.

My key responsibilities included:- Managing the two programs in collaboration with subject heads, which involved interviewing, recruiting, and deploying suitable teaching associates for 25 courses per semester- Ensuring the smooth operation of the programs by working with writers to develop course materials, exam papers, and assignments, and accurately processing results for over 350 students- Supporting teaching associates and students by resolving queries, offering solutions, and assisting them throughout their course of study or employment.My ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and ensure the successful operation of the programs demonstrates my exceptional project management skills.

As an undergraduate marketing student, I rented a push-cart in my university to explore entrepreneurship by selling beauty/nail products. Areas that I worked on:Planning and directing sales, creating policies, setting goals, and meeting with customers and vendors. I managed the overall marketing distribution and sales. I had to determine ways to increase profits and reduce costs as i was the only one handling the business. Negotiation was also crucial to obtain competitive quotes with various vendors. I understood that my main target customers were fellow university students and thus leveraged on various social media channels to gain brand awareness.
