CurrentI work on public law and human rights cases that include Court of Protection s21A / s16 challenges (health and welfare), education SEND appeals and transport claims, health and social care funding disputes, medical treatment cases and judicial review actions. I am required to develop legal knowledge in specialist practice areas such as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Care Act 2014.My responsibilities include representing vulnerable individuals by taking instructions, drafting court applications, witness statements, letters of instruction to experts and counsel, attending hearings with instructed counsel. I consistently work on Legal Aid matters with the Legal Aid Agency and will review costs positions for cases to ensure that tasks are allocated proportionately.
