Working in a designing firm significantly increased my knowledge of interior design through practical work and real experiences. As a Design intern, I worked on several projects at this firm playing various different roles and enhancing my skills that cannot be learnt in the classroom, like ability to carry out designs from ideas to constructions, site supervision, tracking the material orders and shipments, creating estimates, bills and work schedules for contractors, managing the timeline of project. I learned how the budget and climatic factors affect and impact our creative ideas. All these experiences were very rewarding and have broadened my understanding and helped me refine my organizing and managing skills.
