Priyanka is an Environmentalist, specialized in Glacier Hydrology, Water Resource Management and Climate Change studies. She is Research Associate under the 'Centre for Himalayan Ecology', Water Resources Division at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi. Prior, she has worked as a Consultant for managing Glacial Risks and Hazards, especially, Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs) at NDMA, India in collaboration with Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Embassy of Switzerland, India. She is qualified as Masters’ of Science in Environmental Studies and Resource Management (ESRM), from TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI-SAS) (formerly, TERI University) - class of 2017; having study areas of interest as Glaciology, Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM), Climate Change and Sustainable Development Practices, native of New Delhi, India; is determined to contribute towards the sustainability of the society to find out the answers of today’s emerging questions related to the conservation of our environment, especially in cold regions on the Earth.‘A keen learner with the dedicated working spirit’ is a simple phrase that briefly describes Priyanka. She is a self-motivated and passionate person about work and thrive to perform better than yesterday. The ability to manage things on her own, good observational skills, guiding spirit and optimism gives her an edge over others which usually highlights her leadership skills in a team.She believes in keeping up with the quality rather than quantity of work that is how long-term goals can be achieved according to her.
