During the course of my internship, I undertook a research and development project which involved the development of in-house qPCR assays for the detection of STI causal agents - Treponema pallidum and Mycoplasma hominis.Within this role, I was able to develop new and existing laboratory skills in a commercial laboratory. Furthermore, allowing me to enhance my understanding of good laboratory practice (GLP), quality control (QC) and the requirements of ISO 13485 and 17025.

Excellent customer service of the audience before, after and during the duration of the performance. Ensure relevant areas of the theatre and auditorium are kept clean and presentable. Acting as a representative of the theatre at all times.

Delivering excellent care; using initiative when responding to patients’ needs whilst reassuring individuals during the testing process. Confidently preforming the throat and nasal swab testing procedure, wearing appropriate PPE in line with the current clinical NHS standards. Completing daily tasks and meeting targets efficiently, including stock management and testing administration.
