INVESTIGATIVE REPORTS AND SPECIAL FEATURESReported, Produced and scripted for the 30 minute documentary ' India's Golden Girls'. Was awarded the Ramnath Goenka Award for excellence in Journalism for the same. ‘Shame in khaki’. Traveled to Haryana, UP & Rajasthan, spoke to nearly 70 cops to find their mentality & approach in dealing with crimes against women. This was an investigative report, executed using hidden cameras. The response to our series forced the govt to look into the issue of why women are afraid of even approaching the men in khaki. Special investigation series on 'Juvenile Homes' that revealed how reform homes have turned into a breeding ground for criminals. The investigation exposed how drug, violence and sexual abuse are rampant in juvenile homes and why despite being fully aware of the reality, officials choose to do nothing to improve the situation. ‘Baby Bazaar’ another series highlighted how government hospitals in UP had turned into a shop to sell and purchase babies by either fooling or forcing vulnerable parents. ‘Battle for Delhi’, focused on the performance of the Delhi government and opposition parties. What they haven’t done for people so far. What is required and the reality on ground. Produced the award winning show 'Ground Zero Gujarat'. 10 years after the riots, Rajdeep Sardesai revisits the state to find what, if any, has changed over the past decade. The documentary delves on aspects like how those affected by the brutality are coping, what the government has done and how difficult it has been for the victims to get closure. Contributed and worked on 'The Greatest Indian' Based on an internationally acclaimed format by BBC held in 22 countries, the initiative is to select that one great Indian after Mahatma Gandhi who is the most influential, iconic and inspirational and has impacted your life. Produced 'Southern Struggles' A documentary that showcased South India's contribution to the freedom struggle.
