Facilitated voter registration drives and canvassed in the South Asian community to raise awareness about the importance of voting. Served as a poll monitor during primary and general elections, ensuring fair electoral practices. Oversaw and participated in community food drives and cultural festivals to enhance voter engagement. Assisted with phone banking and registered voters, providing translation support to help individuals navigate the process.

Conducted in-depth research on community issues, including racial inequity and the history of racism in America. Translated research into advocacy efforts by coordinating dialogue events and organizing community initiatives. Gained hands-on leadership experience while building a supportive care network and managing events. Collaborated with a team to optimize workflow, identify community needs, and discuss potential solutions.

As an advocate for local youth, I developed critical thinking, leadership, and facilitation skills. I collaborated on health presentations for peers and community organizations, explored wellness behaviors and social determinants of health, and deepened my awareness of justice, equity, and cultural diversity. Additionally, I promoted healthy eating, physical activity, and policy changes to enhance community well-being.
