Embarking on my Research Development Internship at SAC-ISRO has been an exhilarating journey of exploration and innovation. Focused on mapping phenological metrics in Gujarat's Gir Forests using Landsat and Sentinel-2 satellite data, I found myself immersed in a world where cutting-edge technology converges with environmental stewardship. Guided by the expertise of SAC-ISRO, I had the privilege of leveraging advanced algorithms like cubic interpolation and time series smoothing, enabling a meticulous analysis of vegetation growth patterns. The project's objective of calculating Start of Season (SOS), End of Season (EOS), and Length of Season (LOS) with unprecedented accuracy became an achievable reality. Venturing into threshold-based approaches, we unveiled phenologically active periods, uncovering the forest's dynamic responses to environmental nuances. Transforming complex data into impactful visualizations became a cornerstone, empowering researchers and stakeholders with accessible insights. Grateful for the transformative experience, I look forward to continuing my contribution at the intersection of technology and conservation, where each discovery has the potential to shape our understanding and commitment to preserving our natural world.

In my capacity as Deputy General Chapter Secretary, I played a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our chapter, with a strong focus on promoting ACM Women and Women in Tech initiatives. I collaborated closely with the Executive Committee and Chairperson, actively participating in various chapter proceedings. My multifaceted responsibilities encompassed not only sending agendas for executive board meetings and meticulously documenting meeting minutes but also included the timely management of chapter correspondence. I maintained well-organized files for historical reference and facilitated communication with headquarters to implement critical changes to our chapter's bylaws, aligning them with our commitment to diversity and inclusion. I joined the UFOP research group in Ethnomathematics, where I collaborated with fellow enthusiasts to explore the fascinating intersections between mathematics .and culture. In my community, I shared mathematical concepts embedded in our cultural heritage, fostering a deeper understanding of mathematics in everyday life. I dedicated time to extensive reading, delving into subjects such as mathematics education, culture, ethnomathematics, and mathematical modeling, further honing my expertise. My passion for research led me to investigate the connections between STEM Education and Mathematics Education in two distinct countries, broadening my perspective. Additionally, I embarked on a journey to uncover the ties between culturally diverse environments and mathematics. Lastly, I took on the challenge of crafting articles for esteemed publications like the Journal of Mathematics and Culture and ISGEm Newsletter (International Study Group on Ethnomathematics), contributing to the discourse in this dynamic field. My experiences have not only expanded my knowledge but also deepened my commitment to the world of mathematics and statistics.
