➢Direct and assist aircraft in surface movement and control, including taxiing, parking, and towing➢Operate and maintain equipment for aircraft ground movement and marshalling, such as tow tractors and tugs➢Assess airfield operations and situations, determine operational requirements, and impose airfield restrictions as required➢Facilitate effective communication with air traffic control by demonstrating proficiency in Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Networks, including NOTAMs and flight plans, and using radiotelephony phraseology and ground communication equipment➢Implement airfield safety measures, including airfield lightings, visual aids, airfield layout, ground taxing procedures of aircraft in the airport, and emergency evacuation plans, minimizing the risk of accidents and ensuring safe and efficient operations➢Ensure compliance with DGCA regulations by conducting runway, manoeuvring, and movement area inspections, effectively communicating with air traffic control, conducting airside inspections, and enforcing rules➢Ascertain safe and secure operations by being familiar with VIP movement, air ambulance, armament-loaded aircraft, medical evacuation procedures, and AVSEC regulations, minimising the risk of accidents and ensuring the safety of passengers and crew➢Oversee and coordinate ground activities, including ground administration, documentation, and staff management, ensuring smooth and efficient operations➢Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines by making landing and parking charges of aircraft, issuing NOC for aeronautical obstruction/construction around the airfield, and being familiar with government procurement procedures, general financial rules, and AMC procedures➢Coordinate with air traffic services operations to ensure the aircraft's safe and efficient movement on the ground➢Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the aircraft parking and movement areas to ensure they are safe
