I am passionate about Wildlife (Indian and global) and it's conservation. Having grown up near Sasan Gir watching Asiatic Lions, I am particularly keen on big cats. I was part of the team of scientists who sequenced the world's first Tiger whole genome and did comparative analysis with Lion and snow leopard genomes- published in Nature communications Journal, 2013. I have also worked on the Marwari Horse genome sequencing, published in 2014 in BMC genomics. Our focus is to help in formulating policies and working with Forest department on matters related to wildlife conservation in Gujarat, to synchronize conservation with human development needs
