Experienced UX/UI professional. Since 2006, he’s designed hundreds of multi-modal interfaces, including speech enabled directed dialogue, natural language, SMS, Chatbots, and inbound/outbound multi-channel contact center solutions and performed user testing, focus groups, and call center assessments for small business and enterprise clients across business verticals in retail, health, insurance, utility, mobile, cable, financial, and more. In addition, he’s performed roles as a solutions architect, speech technologist, audio engineer, voice talent coach, project manager, team builder, call center lead, marketing consultant, and results analyst. He has co-presented topics about leveraging speech for retail & sales contact-center design at SpeechTek/CRM conferences.Prior to his design work, Patrick, a journalist by education and trade, has served as Chief Editor, Columnist, Reporter, and Photojournalist for small town Nebraska newspapers and assisted in the publication of college level computer science textbooks, including “VoiceXML: An Introduction to Developing Speech Applications” by James Larson; “Human Computer Interaction” by Dix and Finlay; and “Computer Vision: A Modern Approach” by Forsyth and Ponce. He studied News Editorial Journalism, with an emphasis on Communications Studies, English, and Psychology at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Memberships include AVIxD, UXPA, and IxDA. Patrick, along with his beautiful wife Jen, is currently based in Omaha, NE. He’s the proud father of 2 children and an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. Go big red!
