I'm a journalist and photographer, having experience of working with prestigious Dhaka-based newspapers, including Dhaka Tribune, The Daily Star and bdnews24.com. Earlier I worked with different renowned research organizations including ACNeilsen Bangladesh. During my professional career, I covered a wide range of issues ranging from development to corruption, energy to environment, politics to legal affairs, and war history to human rights. I studied in Netrokona and Mymensing during school life; later admitted to Dhaka University and then to Jahangirnagar University. I'm also involved with different campaign groups working on workers’ and farmers’ rights, animal rights, and rights of the slum dwellers and other marginalized people of the society.I founded Bhalo Phol - ভালো ফল online mini superstore offering safe and local fruits, groceries, fishes, chicken, beef, mutton and everything you need to satisfy your tummy! I'm one of the co-founders and CEO of ALOKA (bright in English), a new men’s fashion brand offering lab-tested business shirts as well as animal-printed casual shirts for the first time in Bangladesh.I launched FishFish Cafe, an online fish store, to sell selected fishes from safe waters! I've been with Oporajeo since the beginning in 2013, and previously dealt with the media and public relations affairs of Oporajeo. In 2018, Oporajeo launched its agro and renewable energy wings, with primary focus on improving the lives of the marginalized hill people through agroecology and developing cost-effective renewable energy sources.
