Jim Davis purchased Gerico Marketing Services Inc/DBA Working Women’s Show in September of 2022. He currently works as the show’s Executive Producer. Jim previously worked at the Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts at Northwestern University as Lab Theatre Production Manager from 2011 to 2018. While at NU, Jim produced over 70 productions and special events, including working as the production/stage manager for the annual commencement held at Ryan Field. Before working at NU, he served as Production Manager at Next Theatre Company, a position he held from 2006 to 2011, as well as Production Managing WELCOME YULE for the Chicago Symphony OrchestraBefore relocating to the Chicagoland area, Jim spent several years as Managing Director at St. Louis Shakespeare, and as Arts Center Manager at the St. Louis Conservatory and Schools for the Arts.As a freelance producer, Jim most recently worked for three seasons as Production / Stage Manager (PSM) for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s holiday extravaganza WELCOME YULE at Orchestra Hall and for the past two years as the PSM for Northwestern University's Commencement at Ryan Field. As a designer, Jim worked at Next Theatre Company as Scenic Designer and Lighting Designer, four seasons as producing director and lighting designer for Cocodaco Dance Company and and many productions as lighting designer for Evanston Dance Ensemble. He worked for two seasons as resident scenic designer at Timberlake Playhouse, three seasons as resident designer/production manager with St. Louis Shakespeare, three seasons as Production Manager/Entertainment Producer of the WORKING WOMEN'S SURVIVAL SHOW as well as several productions as Production/Stage Manager, Scenic or Lighting Designer in his previous home of St. Louis, in Chicago and in New York City, in stock, regional, touring, industrials, festivals and trade shows.Specialties: Production and Stage Management, Event and Venue Management, Casting, with significant skills in budgeting, contracts and all levels of contracts, critically acclaimed Lighting and Scenic Designer, former Graphic Designer and Art Director.
