With over eight years of experience as a consulting business owner, I specialize in enhancing individual and team performance, leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills across various industries. My PhD in Business Management, with a focus on branding, equips me to assist clients in developing their personal and corporate brands and reputation. Additionally, I am a certified senior coach with COMENSA, the professional body for coaches and mentors in South Africa.In addition to my consulting work, I am an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences at NMU George campus, where I teach research and various marketing subjects. I am passionate about preparing my students for their careers and sharing my knowledge with them. I am also a proud supervisor of numerous M and PhD students.I am fortunate enough to still utilize my 14 years of experience as a financial market trader in the money, capital, and derivatives markets, as well as my investment portfolio management skills, in my roles in the government and public sectors. I am actively involved in several public sector roles. I have chaired the Audit and Performance management as well as the Risk Management committees at the Garden Route District Municipality, George, and Swellendam Municipalities. Additionally, I have served as a member of the performance management committee for directors and the municipal manager at these municipalities for numerous years. These roles enable me to contribute to the governance and development of my community.Furthermore, I serve as a Director on the Board of the NMU pension fund, where I chair the Risk and Governance portfolio and actively participate in the Investment committee. I am also a member of the Board of Directors at the George Business Chamber, focusing on SME and entrepreneurial development in the greater George community. Additionally, I serve as a Senator on the NMU Senate and represent George Campus on the transformation and engagement committee of the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences. I am a member of the Academic committee on the George campus and the Advisory Board of the Marketing Department.An entrepreneur at heart, I am also the proud mother of two boys.
