I am presently Full Professor of Electrical Sciences (Electrotechnics, in Italian) at the Dept. of Engineering, Università degli Studi della Campania “Luigi VanvitellI”. My scientific activity started in 1996, in cooperation with the research group from Naples, active in the area of (low frequency) electromagnetic fields computation and the analysis of electromagnetic devices.I cooperate (or used to) with many research teams, including the Electrical Sciences groups at Italian Universities in Cassino; Padova; Pavia; Reggio Calabria; Roma III; Udine, but also international teams, including the Départment Etudes et Recherches at EdF; the IGTE at TU-Graz; the TU-Budapest; TU-Ilmenau; TU-Bucharest; the Slovak Academy of Science; the Bath University, the Grenoble Univ. I cooperated also with teams at laboratories and research centres, such as the KIT (Karlsruhe Inst. For Technology), the ITER Organization, Fusion for Energy, the ENEA-EURATOM, the European Fusion Development Agency EFDA, the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research. My main scientific interests are in the numerical computation of electromagnetic fields, with particular reference to the robust design and tolerance analysis of electromagnetic devices, to the thermonuclear plasmas Identification and analysis, to the identification and optimal design problems related to magnetic Fields.I am in the reviewers’ board of many journals in the area of computational electromagnetism, such as IEEE Trans. On Magnetics, IEEE Trans. On Applied Superconductivity, Fusion Engineering and Design, COMPEL, IJAEM, ACES Journal. I am also Editor for the ACES Journal and for the Mathematical Problems in engineering journal, and member of the editorial board of Compumag, CEFC and OIPE in their last editions, acting as Scientific Secretariat for the latter since 2016.I cooperated with Compumag and CEFC conference series since the beginning of my career. I used to be an IEEE member for many years as a student member, and I am now member. I am also member of the International Compumag Society, and of the CEFC International Steering Committee. I was Co-Chairman of the CEFC2020 Editorial Board, and I am now Editor in Chief for the special issue to be published on IEEE Transactions of Magnetics on Numerical Field Computation
