Birgit Spiesshofer is an Of Counsel in the Berlin office of Dentons since April 2010 and advises primarily on commercial law, public policy and regulation, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) and sustainability. From April 2021 through March 2024 she has been Europe Chief Sustainability and Governance Counsel. She is co-editor of the Corporate Compliance Journal (CCZ). She was, inter alia, Chair of the CSR Committee of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), Co-Chair of the CSR Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), and a member of the Constitutional Law and Human Rights Committee of the German Lawyers Association (DAV). She is a member of the Environment and Energy Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the Women in Law Initiative (Vienna), and the Board of Trustees of the German Network Business Ethics.
