About Prof.(Dr.) Ramesh Chandra (Retd)

I am a retired Professor (Soil Science) from GBPUAT, Pantnagar. I obtained my M.Sc.Ag and and Ph.D degree in Soil Science during 1981 and 1985 from G B Pant University, Pantnagar, respectively. I was awarded ICAR Senior Reserch Fellowship during Ph.D program. I have 34 years teaching and research experince and also served the University in various capacity such as Head, Department of Soil Science, Joint Director Research, Programme Coordinator (Pulses), Professor IFFCO Chair, Principal Investigator Microbiolgy, AICRP on MULLaRP (ICAR). I was elected Councillor of Indian Society of Soil Science, New Delhi for the biennium 2005 -2006. I have been awarded Fellowship of ISPRD, Kanpur and ISAC, Allahabad. Hon'ble Chancellor and Governor of Uttarakhand nominated me a member of Exexutice Council of Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora for 2 years (2024 to 2025).
