I am an experienced Professor of Electrical Engineering with 22 years in academia and research. Over the years, I have honed my skills as a coordinator and investigator in multiple research grants. I am a registered Professional Electrical Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), specializing in designing projects, training engineers, and supervising postgraduate students. My strengths lie in communication, time management, and multidisciplinary team collaboration. I am deeply passionate about STEM education and mentorship, particularly in robotics for pre-college Engineering and Technology exposure. I have served as a Council Member of the Institution of Engineering Technologists and Technicians of Kenya (IET-K) and am currently serving in a similar capacity at the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) for the term 2024-2026. My research interests include power system modeling and analysis, with a focus on leveraging artificial intelligence in this field. I am proficient in using tools such as MATLAB and various power system simulation software. Additionally, I am licensed in solar photovoltaic design and installation.Throughout my career, I have progressed through the academic ranks, starting as an exam coordinator and now serving as the Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology at Murang'a University of Technology. I also hold positions as Chairman of the MUT TVET Board and a member of the University Board of Management.I offer consultancy services through Doch Sustainable Solutions Ltd as an electrical engineer. As a Christian apologist, my mission is to be an effective and influential professional electrical engineer, offering my services to the best of my ability for the glory of God and the betterment of my students, colleagues, community, nation, and the entire human race.
