Pioneered the build of a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, incorporating R&D laboratories, Class 7 cleanroom, and accredited FSSC ISO 22000 production suite. The premises was purposefully designed to develop cutting-edge liposomal technologies in both liquid and dry forms for commercial, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical applications.

- Deputy Head with a cross-departmental Research & Income Generation agenda focus and direct educational and line management responsibilities for the Science, Leadership & Management and Medical Education Courses. - In the absence of the Head of Department since August 2016, I have been acting the role of Head of Department for the courses above. In addition, I have been managing the allocation of workloads; staff development and annual leaves for all department staff.

Contribute in establishing Post-graduate Mater degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Examine appeals, petitions and other exception-based requests from students and referring matters as appropriate. Conduct periodic reviews to evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness of staff and make recommendations for change as appropriate.

Development of a dendrimer-based drug delivery system to overcome the blood-brain barrier (with Professor D’Emanuele). Contributed as a lecturer of pharmaceutics, in preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials and practical classes to students. Also, involved in the assessment of this material. Involved in sourcing and the purchase of equipment for the new pharmaceutics research and teaching laboratories. Innovated and designed PhD project aimed at using dendrimer nanotechnology to inhance the bioavailability of drugs by synthesising prodrugs consisting of drug, linker, and PAMAM dendrimers. Research involved formulation of surface modified dendrimers as drug carriers. Resulting prodrugs were tested for stability in simulated gastrointestinal fluids, human plasma and in liver homogenates along with toxicity and transport studies using colon carcinoma cells (Caco-2).
