About Mohammad Najlah

I am a Professor of Pharmaceutics and Nanomedicine at Anglia Ruskin University, and a Chief Scientist and Co-founder of GMPriority Pharma, a start-up company that develops cutting-edge liposomal technologies for commercial, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical applications. With over 25 years of experience in the higher education and pharmaceutical industries, I have a strong background in conjugation chemistry, drug delivery systems, pharmaceutics, GLP, GMP, and pharmaceutical research and education.My mission is to leverage my expertise in molecular biology, in vitro, and life sciences to design, synthesize, and evaluate novel nanocarriers for the delivery of therapeutic agents across biological barriers. I have published multiple papers in international journals, and received prestigious grants, awards and honors. I am also fluent in English and Arabic, and have a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of scientists and innovators.

    Innovated and designed PhD project aimed at using dendrimer nanotechnology to inhance the bioavailability of drugs by synthesising prodrugs consisting of drug, linker, and PAMAM dendrimers. Research involved formulation of surface modified dendrimers as drug carriers. Resulting prodrugs were tested for stability in simulated gastrointestinal fluids, human plasma and in liver homogenates along with toxicity and transport studies using colon carcinoma cells (Caco-2).
