With over 15 years of experience in student development and inclusive excellence, I am passionate about removing barriers to access to education for populations of color. As the Associate Director of Completion Services at Howard Community College, I lead a team of 11 professionals who provide early academic interventions, academic support, and completion services to enhance student performance and retention.I also teach First Year Experience courses as an Adjunct Instructor, and a doctoral candidate in Community College Leadership from Morgan State University. My top strengths are deliberative, ideation, strategic, learner, and intellection, and I leverage them to design and implement effective programs, policies, and practices that foster a diverse, inclusive, and belonging learning environment. I am interested in advancing my career in higher education consulting, training and development, and policy development.
