He graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1995. He completed Public Health PhD-2001, MBA-2015 at Gazi University, and Occupational Health PhD-2008 at Ankara University.He started to work in SSK Yozgat Dispensary in 1995.He became a Research Assistant at Gazi University-1999, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Lecturer in the Dep. of Public Health-2004, Asist. Professor-2007, Assoc. Professor-2009, Full Professor-2014. He was the Head of the Dep. of Occupational Medicine in 2014-23, and the Head of the Dep. of Public Health 2018-23.He was the Dean of Gazi University Faculty of Medicine 2020-23, Chairman of Medical Faculty Deans Council 2021-23, Exec. B. Member of Gazi University Hospital 2020-23, Dean of Gazi University Faculty of Health Sciences 2017-20, Member of Gazi University Senate and Exec. B. 2017-23 , Exec. B. Member of Gazi University Faculty of Medicine 2011-14, Deputy Chief-Physician of Gazi University Hospital 2008-11.In 2023, he was elected to the Chairman of Executive Board of the Vocational Qualifications Authority and Institution.In 2023, he became a Member of the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK).In 2021, he was elected as the Chairman of the Interuniversity Board (ÜAK) Medical-Health Sciences Education Council.In 2017, he became the Coordinator of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Recognition and Equivalency Commission, Health Sciences Advisory Commission.He became a Member of the Ministry of Health Post-Earthquake Public Health Commission-2023, Medical Specialization Board Occupational Diseases Commission-2021, Social Sciences Board-2020.He became a Member of the Scientific Committee of the Turkish Drug Addiction Monitoring Center (TUBİM) in the Ministry of Interior, Dep. of Combating Narcotic Crimes in 2009.He is Exec. B. Member of Gazi Technopark-2016.His academic studies are in the fields of Community Mental Health, Health Management, Health Economics, Substance Abuse, Occupational Health and Safety, and Epidemiology.He has a 116 articles in WOS, 1204 citations, and the h index is 18. He has 84 articles and 32 books/chapters in peer-reviewed journals. He worked as a manager/consultant in 44 projects, 23 of which were international; directed 59 theses.He worked as Member of the Turkish Delegation, Consultant, Consultant, and Expert at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), World Health Organization (WHO).
