I am a Clinical Physiology and Clinical Scientist specialist in the areas of diagnostic cardiology, specifically heart rhythm abnormalities utilising electrophysiological techniques and permanent implantable cardiac devices. I have worked professionally for a total of eighteen years in centres of clinical excellence across Ireland and the UK. I have been the Course Director of BSc (Hons) Health Physiology programme from 2013 until 2016 and I am the lead Cardiology lecturer of the BSc Hons Healthcare Science (CVRS) programme to which I coordinate, teach and assess all aspects of the academic, practical and work based clinical experience aligning to the Modernising Scientific Careers Practioner Training Programme HEI and work based learning curricula.
