Professor Declan Murphy is Consultant Urologist, Director of Genitourinary Oncology and Director of Robotic Surgery at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia, and Professorial Fellow at The Sir Peter MacCallum Department of Oncology, University of Melbourne. He has previously been Consultant Urologist at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London, UK, where he completed his specialist urology training.Declan is an internationally-recognised key opinion leader in prostate cancer and robotic surgery in particular. His experience in robotic surgery started in 2004 and he is therefore in the first generation of pioneers in this type of advanced surgery. He is Associate Editor of the British Journal of Urology International, on the Editorial Boards of European Urology and Nature Reviews Urology, and is a regular reviewer for The Journal of Urology, Urologic Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Journal of Endourology, Journal of Sexual Medicine, Cancer, ANZ Journal of Surgery, Journal of Robotic Surgery, Journal of Nuclear Medicine and many others.
