About Professor Abigail Gregory Mbe

I am a former senior academic and researcher with a long record of transformational leadership at University, School and Faculty level. I offer in-depth understanding of strategic leadership, internationalisation and gender equality and enjoy leading bold, imaginative initiatives and cultivating productive (global) partnerships both within and outside higher education. I maintain an unswerving commitment to excellence in all I do as an Executive Coach and Mentor, Higher Education Consultant and Senior Academic Advisor.University leadership roles have included Faculty Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Faculty Head of International and Associate Dean International for large (4,000-10,500 students) multidisciplinary academic units, covering arts, business and law, media and the humanities. I possess an excellent understanding of recruitment, marketing, strategic planning, operations, finance, human resource management and quality assurance, and have sponsored major capital and strategic projects. I am a Fellow of the CMI.I am passionate about internationalisation in HE and the multiple benefits it brings. I have worked across cultures and disciplines to develop innovative internationalisation strategies and create student-focused, income-generating activities worldwide, particularly in East and South-East Asia and North America. I have been a Department of International Trade Export Champion and was awarded an MBE for services to exports in 2019.My commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is equally significant.
