With 30 years extensive experience in higher education, Professor Powell is an internationally recognised expert with values-based leadership: collaborative, respectful, inclusive and integrity-led with an unflinching code of professional ethics.He holds a First Class Hons. degree, MA and PhD in Social Gerontology. He is Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Fellow of Advance HE & SEDA Accredited Teacher in HE. He holds a Doctor of Science (DSc, hc) in Gerontology & PhD (hc) in Philosophy.Currently, he is Provost & Professor of UK Management College. He has been Full Professor at 5 UK Universities. He has held senior management roles, eg, President, CEO, 3x Provost, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Assc. Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean in Russell Group, post 92 & Independent HE sectors, where he had oversight of the academic portfolio, REF & KEF strategy of HEIs.
