I served as the Dean of Naval Architecture and Maritime Faculty at Yıldız Technical University (YTU) between 2016 and 2023. Since 2015, I have been the founder and director of YTU Marine Research Center (YTU-MARINE). I was also the founding president of the Maritime Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association. I have been a member of the accreditation process monitoring and evaluation committee of the Administration since 2008.I have published numerous scientific articles, presented papers at high quality conferences and conducted numerous research projects, some commercial, some military, some transportation oriented. I am one of the founders of Marine Engineering Department and Naval Architecture and Maritime Faculty at YTU. I have served in many senior positions such as Senate, Administration and Academic Board of our university for a long time. I have also attended many IMO (International Maritime Organization) Committee meetings such as MSC, SDC, etc. in London as an advisor to Government delegates. I have a strong network and knowledge in the maritime sector on education, accreditation, shipbuilding industry and similar issues.I carried out both national and international accreditation processes such as IAMU for our faculty's maritime programs.
