My PhD research was mainly focused on how replication stress alters the genomic stability of normal haematopoietic cells leading to the accumulation of DNA damage and therefore promoting a pre-leukaemic state. Using state-of-the-art molecular and cellular techniques, I targeted key regulators of DNA replication machinery and DNA repair response, using CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing tool, and profiled primary haematopoietic cells in both a molecular and translational level.
