Responsible for implementation of the Environmental Protection Plan required under the CNLOPB NL Offshore Drilling and Production Regulations. This includes maintenance and development of environmental compliance monitoring and environmental effects monitoring programs. Responsible for all environmental reporting requirements specified under CNLOPB Regulations, NL Greenhouse Gas Reporting and Management Regulations as well as other reporting (NPRI) required by Env Canada and Climate Change and DFO. Participated in incident management and response including oil spill response.

Responsible for all SSHE and Regulatory matters. This includes development and implementation of the project safety plan, safety culture development, project regulatory (operations) authorization planning, DFO Fisheries Act Authorization, ECCC Ocean Disposal Permit. Initiated the scope of work for Certifying Authority and coordinated interface with project contractors.

As Services Supervisor reported to the Installation Manager and was responsible for deck operations ( deck crew and crane operators), accommodations and galley operations, marine vessel coordination as well as offshore coordination of heli-operations for personnel movement. Provided offshore services support for both drilling and production operations.

As SSHE Coordinator was embedded within the Hebron Project as part of a Operations Readiness team tasked with building the foundation which would evolve into the Production Operations SSHE unit. The Coordinator was the first SSHE representative responsible for the development of the fundamental components to build the SSHE team. It also included ensuring regulatory requirements were identified and addressed to obtain the CNLOPB drilling and production operations authorization as well as providing guidance to the project team on design and construction matters having SSHE implications.

Recommend and development of department policy and procedures. Responsible for approvals, inspections, compliance promotion for waste management systems and petroleum storage facilities. Review and environmental clearance of contaminated site assessments. Environmental assessments reviews. Oil spill responder for land based spills.
