I am responsible for establishing, maintaining and evolving the digital brand direction and user interface design of Westpac Groups core digital products and services.To achieve this I designed Westpac’s multi-brand Design System (GEL). This includes an open source UI framework, UI kits, extensive documentation and of course the GEL brand itself.Westpac GEL is now one the worlds most renowned design systems. It has transformed the business and to this day forms the foundation of every digital product and service that Westpac Group deliver.

In January 2012 The Australian newspaper was the first of the News Limited mastheads to launch it's subscription based online news service. As lead designer on this project I was responsible for:• Translating The Australian's brand into the new look and feel of the web site the mobile site and the version 2 iPad app (tablet app). 
• Designing all the key page templates and all the graphical user interface elements for the website the mobile site and the iPad app. Much of which was based on existing markup.• Developing multiple prototypes to communicate functionality and interaction design.• Overseeing all front end development work in order to maintain a high standard with strong attention to detail.• Art directing the design team to ensure that the brand integrity is maintained.• Creating style and documentation for designers, developers and editors to follow.• Other responsibilities included; concepting, IA, wireframes, client presentations resource allocation and hiring.

Services include Brand design and development, UX design, UI design, art direction and front end development. Clients Include: AEA constructions, Coastalwatch, Quofore, Webber Surfboards and Mad Cortes.

Tequila Digital is the interactive arm of the Global ad Agency TBWA. As Design Director my key responsibilities included:• Overseeing all digital design work in order to maintain a high standard of interactive design and ensure the clients brand integrity is maintained.• Mentoring Designers to give them the confidence and skills needed to reach their full potential. Writing performance reviews and resourcing.• Setting the design direction for large projects and brands. Art directing until project completion then creating styleguides and documentation for designers, developers and clients to follow.• Other responsibilities included; concepting, IA, wireframes, client presentations, pitches, resource allocation and hiring.

I established Smashing Media in 2003 as a means to doing personal project work. The business quickly gained pace and soon became my main focus. I worked in collaboration with various agencies on digital projects for AAPT, Australian Wool Industries, O4 Corporation and many others.

As Creative Director at Hot House I was responsible for a small team of designers working predominantly on projects for Toyota, Energy Australia and HCF. As the team was quite small I was also very hands on. Key responsibilities included:• Concepting, client presentations, pitches, resourcing, hiring and general management duties.• Overseeing all digital and print design work in order to maintain a high standard of interactive design and ensuring the clients brand integrity is maintained.• Mentoring Designers to give them the confidence and skills needed to reach their full potential. Writing performance reviews and resourcing.• Setting the design direction for large projects. Designing, art directing and graphics support until project completion.

As Lead Designer my responsibilities included content updates, a re-design of the News Interactive site and the front end design for various feature sites including the Sydney to Hobart race and the Australian Open.
