As an integral part of the Investment & Strategy BU, I spearheaded investment opportunities (M&A: mainly on Buy side) and acquired and executed large ticket Organic and Inorganic deals at the Group level. I have conducted many marquee and high-profile engagements for various stakeholder and worked extensively on Acquisition of Special Situation Assets deals. I have evaluated a variety of deals primarily in the stressed asset space worth close to USD 10.0 Billion.I have gained expert knowledge about IBC (Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code) and have spearheaded several acquisitions / resolution initiatives under the IBC as a lender as well as an investor / resolution applicant for more than 50 cases worth claims over USD 10.0 Billion. As a senior member of the Financial Solutions Group, I have managed a large portfolio of clients of the lending arm to ensure recovery and resolution of stressed portfolios. I have actively assisted the group formulating litigation strategy and have represented the FSG group in forums such as NCLT / NCLAT / Arbitration mattersI was actively involved in key fund-raising initiatives including but not limited to private equity placements, strategic investors, banks, asset reconstruction companies (ARCs), other financial institutions to name a few.

My stint at GT opened up the more focused world of Consulting, Business Development & Practice Management. Here, I spent a considerable time across the Kolkata, Mumbai & Bangalore practices, setting up and developing the Corporate Finance practice in East India (Kolkata) from scratch. With a team of over 10 analysts/associates I had led over 200 valuation assignments majorly in the space of Assessment of Merger Swap Ratio, Corporate Restructuring, Acquisitions, Litigation Support, Bank Funding, IPEVC Guidelines, and Fair Valuation for Statutory/ Regulatory purposes. I also led Intangible Valuation for Brands, Customer Contracts, CRM, IP, Software Platforms etc. Additionally, I gained expertise in preparing and reviewing of Business Plans, developing Financial Models and Projections, apart from helping the business grow by cross-selling various services in close coordination with the other practice heads of the firm.
