This requires me to interact and lead… Show more In my current role as Senior Research Fellow, I lead and co-ordinate our research in the lower technology Readiness Level space (TRL 1-4), developing the research vision and working with the rest of the research office to ensure that our pipeline of research is realised and creates impact. In this role I work with colleagues across the university and to co-ordinate research roadmaps, ensuring the long-term relevance and sustainability of the group. This requires me to interact and lead activities with academia, partner businesses, wider industry and funding bodies such as the ATI and EPSRC and convene and support consortium building to drive new CR&D projects.I am a Co-Investigator in the EPSRC Aura Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Offshore Wind Energy and the Environment where I act as Industry Stakeholder Manager and deliver a module on ‘Materials and Manufacturing for Offshore Wind’ as a visiting lecturer at the University of Hull. On starting at the AMRC I worked initially as a research assistant working with a PhD student delivering a package of work investigating the development of an orbital drilling process. Subsequently I was responsible for the development of the AMRC’s cutting tool simulation capability, which has enabled the investigation of a range of different cutting processes without the need to produce prototype tooling.
