A highly respected and accomplished executive leader, I have served in multiple senior leadership roles, including as CEO, President, Director and Board Member. I am a passionate contributor to the health and medical research / biotechnology sector, providing dedicated service, contribution and achievement.I have worked in biotechnology and medical research in the US, Germany and Australia. PresidentAustralasian Neuroscience Society Dec 2019 - PresentThe Australasian Neuroscience Society is a non-profit member-based organisation of scientific researchers and clinicians who study the brain, cognition, and nervous system structure and function in health and disease. Representing almost 1,000 neuroscientists in Australia and New Zealand, ANS supports its members through an Annual Scientific Meeting, quarterly newsletters, monthly bulletins, and various state based activities. ANS also runs a three-week hands-on advanced training course, the Australasian Course in Advanced Neuroscience (ACAN).The role of President is elected by members and the candidate serves one year as President Elect (12/2019 - 12/2020), two years as President (12/2020 - 12/2022) and one year as Past President (12/2022 - 12/2023). Mindgardens was designed to bring clinicians and researchers closer together to work jointly on integrating models of care to improve health outcomes.Instrumental in creating the strategic partnership that established Mindgardens and gaining partner approval for the alliance’s establishment agreement, co-developing governance structures at the Board and operational level, and establishing initial clinical research programs.Commissioned a KPMG white paper on the burden of brain disease, designed research and clinical strategy.Undertook government advocacy to secure $7M in federal government funding and $3M in philanthropic funding to support the initial research and health translational programs.
