Have been working as a freelance Researcher and Management Consultant from 1st August 2017 to 17th August 2020. Retired on superannuation (at 60 years) on 31.07.2017 as per the university rules. Served as Professor & Head, and Chairman, Board of Studies in Business Administration, (December, 1999 to July, 2017), and as Chairman PG Council/ Pro- Vice Chancellor (June 2014- May, 2016) at Berhampur University, Odisha (A State University Accredited ‘A’ Grade by NAAC, UGC in April, 2016). Served 3 terms (1992-94, 2014-16 and up to 31.07.2017) as Member Syndicate (Executive Council) of Berhampur University.Education: MBA with Ph.D. in Business Admn., Member-Alumni, IIM, Ahmedabad, India (FDPM'91). Areas of interest: Management, Organization Behaviour, HRM, Ethics & Values, Corporate Governance and Service Marketing.Started career in teaching MBA’s in an Institution under Berhampur University in August 1982.Served the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India as Assistant Professor in Management from July, 1986 to Sept., 1987. Joined Berhampur University, Odisha as Reader in Business Admn. in September, 1987, and got elevated to full Professor in December, 1999. Membership of Professional bodies include:Member- Academic Advisory Board, University of Riverside, California, USA, and Senior Member- International Association of Computer Science & IT (IACSIT), Singapore. Have been an Invited Speaker/ Chair of several international Conferences held in India (viz: IIM-Lucknow, Kalyani University, Vidyasagar University, Andhra University, ITM, Navi Mumbai, SSIM, Hyderabad); and abroad (viz: China, Philippines, Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Thailand, and Vietnam. Recipient of 'Best Paper Presenter' awards:1. IIDS Intl. Conf. jointly organized by Univ. of Queensland, Australia and IIMS (Kolkata) in 2010; and 2. IIMS (Kolkata)-AIS (Auckland) Intl. Conf. held in Penang (Malaysia), in 2011.Published ten books/ book chapters and two dozen of research papers as refereed publications (with ISSN/ ISBN and citations). Guided 22 research scholars for the award of Ph.D, and 3 research scholars for the award of D.Litt Degree in Business Administration at Berhampur University, India.Offered about 100 sessions of training programs in the corporate sector. Attended to academic assignments in more than 50 Indian and foreign universities.
