The European Commission and the Presidency of the European Council tasked me to develop a new negotiating strategy for the EU. My proposed strategy was accepted and the EU established a new communication task force to implement it. I coordinated the teamwork of diplomats and policy experts from 28 EU member states, and developed the core messages and political narrative of the EU in the climate change policy realm. The task force produced a package of communication materials and key messages toward other countries at negotiations, media and global civil society.

Represented the European Union and the Republic of Bulgaria in UN climate negotiation. Helped negotiate the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and made statements at Ministerial-level negotiations in Paris. Served as the official "face" representative of the EU in one of the six working groups that forged the Paris Agreement.

Attended United Nations conferences and wrote summaries and political analyses of negotiations on environmental issues. Worked with diplomats from 193 countries to analyze their perspectives on negotiations.
