"Project Utthan" is 'International Recognition' awardee by CTAUN (Committee on Teaching about the United Nations), held at the United Nations, New York, USA on April 5, 2019 for outstanding social service & positive influence. We are Uttarakhand's 1st UN recognized Social Service initiative and have got appreciated by the honorable Uttarakhand Chief Minister's office for our social welfare initiatives. Poverty, pollution, illiteracy, improper sanitation and the list of problems is endless. It is true that one person cannot deal with many problems together, but it is definitely easier for many people together to deal with one problem. Keeping this in mind, we have come up with an initiative by the name Utthan. Utthan, as the name suggests, refers to 'upliftment'. We as a group of enthusiastic and determined youth wish to work in his direction for shaping a better future and in ensuring a better world. Come and join us as we embark on this beautiful journey to bring about a change in our society by educating these young minds.

  • Awarded ‘International Recognition’ by the United Nations, USA for outstanding social welfare initiative and positive influence • Leading and managing by motivating volunteers to remain optimistic even when faced with challenges and encouraging good performance and values• Allocating resources as to ensure volunteers can complete their responsibilities to their highest potential• Inspiring volunteers to teach underprivileged kids and help their poor families through fundraising events• Conducting donation drives to help the partner government aided schools build better infrastructure • Creating programs and events that are as effective and efficient and carrying out fundraising efforts with the highest ethical standards• Overseeing all project activities and functioning as the main contact point, serving as a representative while attending community service programs• Supporting the development of strategies and programs regarding the upliftment of the society• Creating awareness among the communities for value of quality education and skill development • Interviewing and selecting new volunteers and providing appropriate direction, developing appropriate methods to build strong volunteering teams• Communicating with government aided schools to identify their needs for development and training
