In this capacity, Mr. Prokop worked closely with customers in understanding their requirements and representing those regional needs across Akamai’s global priorities.Mr. Prokop was born in Germany and was one of the winners of the Bundeswettbewerb Informatik, before being awarded a Cusanuswerk fellowship towards his studies at the Universitat Karlsruhe (TH). In 1997, he came to the United States to study at MIT where he worked on high performance and parallel computing. Before being recruited to Akamai, he received a M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science for his pioneering work on "Cache-Oblivious Algorithms." -
