Over a ten year period I was extensively involved in almost all of the company’s projects and was a key figure in the technical and business development of the company.Key technical areas included train control systems, the capture of data from a range of wayside and train-borne monitoring devices and the development of an economic and rugged platform which was used in several wayside and on-board projects for four major railroads. A number of these systems and approaches were recognized under the Australia Best Practice Program. Some technologies are now very widely used (such as vehicle identification tags), while others still represent practice in advance of most railways today. Projects and systems are listed at the end of this document. Further detail of specific projects can be provided.
