Portfolio website: ► www.Photography-for-Hotels.comClients/Subjects include: Embassy Suites, Crowne Plaza, Soaring Eagle Casino, MGM Grand Casinos, Dearborn Inn, Westin, Hilton, Marriott, Jimmy Schmidt, Chartwells, Greek Town Casino, Motor City Casino, Luhrs Landing Marina, Pentastar Aviation, Troon Golf... We start by having a thorough understanding of the client's objectives. From there we create a timetable and a quote to meet those objectives within their deadline and budget. My process is to create an approximation of perfection in my images by combining lighting, composition and design in the image capture and then using Adobe Photoshop to improve all of those details in the image that can be perfected without taking away from the integrity of the subject and without drawing attention to the retouching. With over 15000 hours of experience using Photoshop I've developed techniques to make my subjects look their best whether they are structures, people or products. By combining the power of what is best performed in front of the camera and what is most practical to do digitally I have found a balance where my work does not look particularly retouched but affords me the flexibility to offer my clients more; more value, more quality and very often more options.Call us to discuss options and costs to realize your marketing goals today.

We are 100% a digital studio.

Freelance Photographer'S AssistantJohn Lacy Photography Sep 1981 - Jun 1991Marketed myself as a freelance assistant for commercial photographers. Over 10 year period worked for well over 100 other photographers. Generally hired by project or for "season" (1 day - 3+months). Approx. one half of photographers specialized in "automotive" working either in a multi-shooter studio or independently. Many out-of-town photographers utilized my skills as a local resource including shooters from Sports Illustrated, Newsweek and many other national publications. I assisted Paul McCartney's personal photographer backstage for 2 days. Worked at Ford Motor Co creative photography studio starting as an assistant in 1987 and worked my way up to shooting assignments. Contributed to 5 Ford Motor Company annual reports. As an assistant I learned many different technical and creative approaches used by these various photographers. While learning many of the "tricks of the trade" I also was exposed to many types of subjects, clients and shooting situations. I built my equipment kit, shot samples for my portfolio and developed my marketing skills gradually building a client base for my own photography independent of the people mentoring me. I am grateful for this part of my career and those who mentored me as they introduced me to creative problem solving and approaching projects from a wider perspective. It also provided me with specialized training in the several areas I now work, allowing me to diversify my client base and subject matter without becoming a "generalist" who simply shoots any subject regardless of the technical requirements that subject may command. I learned to shoot people from "people shooters", learned to shoot cars from shooters with decades of experience, learned to consider all of the tools in my bag as I approach each new assignment to best meet the clients needs.
