I had a successful business as a Massage Therapist for 12 years before moving into the Insurance Industry. I loved helping my clients experience better health as they aged and transitioned into retirement. What I didn't love was seeing those clients slowly stop getting their regular massages and body treatments because they couldn't afford it anymore. This coincided with a time in my own life when I was beginning to think more about my own retirement planning and remembering the experiences I had growing up.I had one set of grandparents that had planned well and were able to maintain their independence in retirement, even when their health challenges started. The other grandparents had stumbled and had some setbacks financially, causing them to not have the money necessary for their retirement.
