At IGI I work on a scientific data analysis product which is developed on a .net technology stack. Since joining IGI I have spent a lot of my time working on the data import component adding new features and trying to make the user interface as intuitive as possible. I have also contributed to the addition of new features such as user defined properties, data export and the mapping component.

For the last 12 months in this role I worked on back end web development (C# .net MVC, Oracle, SQL Server). During my time in this role I also worked on the insurance policy and rating system (Oracle, PL/SQL), performed data analysis and systems analysis tasks.Other duties in the role included:• IT lead on a variety of high profile projects within the company ranging from the introduction of a panel of underwriters for the motor insurance product to incorporating credit checks and fraud related data checks on the company’s policy and rating system;• Facilitating strategic IT decision making in relation to replacement systems by engaging with potential suppliers and producing in-house designs and estimates;

• Intermediary between business stakeholders and system provider and main point of contact for internal system changes (configuration);• Research and documentation of business requirements;• Management of change control, configuration and UAT;• Line Manager for a small team of System Administrators.

• Project work set by Senior Management Team;• Auditing claims set up by team members;• User acceptance testing of system changes.
