About Proteek Kundu

A professional with experience in successfully propelling through high growth and turn around cycles in reputed organizations across the manufacturing and telecom industries over the last 25 years.In my quest to find things that make life worthwhile, I have always wondered how I could strike a balance between my corporate life and make a meaningful contribution to the society. Eventually, I have decided to move to the social sector with the hope that I will be able to use my experience to make a difference to the lives of the underprivileged.Today, I run an NGO…… we work in the area of Skill Development & Vocational Training for our fellow citizens in rural India. Targeted at the marginalized women and youth, our focus is to create opportunities for sustainable livelihood and revitalize the rural community by helping them secure employment or set up an enterprise.

    NeevJivan Foundation is an NGO working in the area of Skill Development & Vocational Training for the tribal women in rural Maharashtra.It is our endeavour to create opportunities for sustainable livelihood for them in the villages so that they do not have to migrate to the cities in search of greener pastures.We have adopted a four pronged approach to our work to create small scale business ventures in the villages - 1. Support to stabilise their operations We work in active collaboration with government bodies like Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP), Maharashtra State Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) and Zila Parishad to mobilise the Self Help Groups and also funds the respective small scale business ventures.Our Knowledge Partners - Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dahanu and Khadi Village Industries Commission, Dahanu deliver the technical training on the vocations* of choice.We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary with 4 important milestones - 1,000+ women trained, 200+ women entrepreneurs, 20 Vocations taught & 15 Strategic Partners
