Peter Rotich is a visionary serial founder and currently the CEO of Enhancesoft, a global software company headquartered in Alexandria, Louisiana, and with offices in Eldoret, Kenya.Born and raised in rural Kenya, Peter’s early years were spent in a village with no access to electricity, running water, or technology. At nine, he developed an unyielding passion for learning, eventually graduating as a valedictorian of Samoei High School, class of 96’, in Nandi Hills, Kenya. Upon high school graduation, Peter immigrated to the United States to attend Tulane University in New Orleans on a Track & Field scholarship.Despite having limited exposure to technology before college, Peter quickly adapted to the demands of a rigorous engineering curriculum, driven by a deep belief in the transformative potential of technology. He pursued a degree in Computer Engineering at Tulane University of New Orleans, complemented by minors in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics.Driven by a vision of a technology-driven future, Peter saw his studies as the start of a lifelong journey to harness technology for meaningful change. With a background rooted in entrepreneurship from an early age, he laid the groundwork for a career dedicated to creating accessible, impactful software solutions that drive progress and bridge digital divides.In 2004, Peter spearheaded the creation of osTicket, a pioneering open-source ticketing platform now trusted by millions worldwide. Under his leadership, Enhancesoft expanded in 2013 with SupportSystem, the SaaS version of osTicket, now serving thousands of businesses across 121 countries and establishing Enhancesoft as a major player in customer support technology.A strong advocate for open-source technology, Peter is passionate about using tech to bridge educational and digital divides. Through the Rotich Foundation, he supports educational and development initiatives in Central Louisiana and Kenya, championing opportunities in education, technology, and entrepreneurship to empower the next generation.
