1. AMEX (American Express) – GNS Analytics(Global Networking System)The application caters to automate and provide industry commission rates by AMEX credit card to various third party industries like travel, hotel, and other service industries. The specific module that worked upon does mass upload of the industry commission details with a GUI screen and features to create new records, to end date current records, to create future records where a current or past record exists, and delete future records.Individual Role:-1. My Role involved creating PSU Inbox screen/GUI and providing functionality to create new records, to end date current records, to create future records where a current or past record exists, and delete future records. Used existing stored procedure of Oracle.2. Testing the functionality created above for proper response and performance. Environment: Java 1.4, Struts 1.2, Oracle 10i, Eclipse Indigo.2. AMEX (American Express) – GTT (Global Travel and Ticketing)This is basically a major migration project with Amex (American Express) from Tomcat 5.5 to 6.0. The application has Message Queue, Web services, and Struts frame work implementation in the middle tier and backend being Oracle 10G. The system caters to the travel clients by providing flight ticketing, Hotel booking, meals options etc. Major task has been to upgrade the application server from Tomcat 5.5 to Tomcat 6.0 by bringing in all the artifacts of the application and resolve the migration issues.Individual Role:-3. My Role involved to mitigate issues/exceptions arising out of bring in artifacts of the existing application step by step by changing the configuration, upgrading the jar etc.4. Testing the web services requests using Jmeter for proper response and performance. Environment: WinSCP 4.2.1, Putty 0.6, Unix, JMeter, Java/JDK 4.0, FileZilla 3.5, Beyond Compare 3.0.
