UGL was awarded a contract with ElectraNet Pty Ltd to design, build and commission high voltage substations and transmission lines that will connect the Prominent Hill Mine to the South Australian electricity grid, continuing CIMIC Group’s long-standing involvement with the mine. UGL will design, construct and commission two high voltage switching stations and approximately 300kms of high voltage transmission lines I was responsible for the End to end recruitment of both White Collar and Blue Collar roles for the construction of Lattice Towers and Transmission Line Works in South Australia.

End to end recruitment of Electricians for the Badgingarra Solar Farm

At the Collinsville Solar Farm, UGL will supply Ratch Australia with EPC and testing, generating revenue of $83 million over 13 months. The contract also involves O&M services for five years. Total craft recruited on Collinsville was 150 which consists of Mechanical Fitters/Electricians/Trade Assistants/Riggers/Crane Operators/Telehandlers.UGL was awarded contracts by Equis Energy to build and maintain the Tailem Bend 127MWDC solar farm in South Australia.The project will generate revenue to UGL of approximately $170 million and commenced in early 2018, with power generation to the grid expected in 2019. I was responsible for recruiting all Blue Collar recruitment for the Tailem Bend Solar Farm. Total craft recruited was 256 which consisted of Mechanical Fitters/Electricians/Trade Assistants/Riggers/Crane Operators/Telehandlers.

UGL and Kentz formed a 50/50 joint venture partnership to carry out the structural, mechanical and piping construction package (MEC-1) for a large LNG construction project located in Darwin, Northern Territory. The Mec-1 package is associated with Process Train 1 and 2 and also includes the inlet Area where the subsea pipeline delivers the offshore gas stream for processing.
