Current2023-2024Through Whitireia, I've been working with Chinese nurse tutors at the School of Health, and with Japanese university students interested in the hospitality industry.In the workplace, I've been working with an amazing and diverse group of sales and depot staff on business and leadership skills.I've worked with an awesome group of engineers on workplace speaking and writing skills.2022 I taught English through Sewing to a group of post-refugee and migrant learners at KiwiClass. 2012 - 2019I designed and taught argument writing courses for PhD students at Victoria Business School. These courses showed students from a range of disciplines how language is used to position a study and build an argument, and gave opportunities for students to practise writing their own arguments and be part of a writing culture. Since 2008I've designed and taught group and one-to-one courses in workplace speaking and writing for IT industry participants, state sector data analysts, risk assessors, researchers, and administrators.I've worked with groups of lecturers, interpreters, speech writers, teachers, and Treasury staff at both Victoria and Massey Universities in Wellington.
