The Composite Prototyping Center, DBA Institute for Workforce Advancement (IWA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization. In partnership with industry, government, and education, IWA’s mission is to become the unquestionable leader for the Northeast regions advanced manufacturing workforce.  We achieve this by promoting and enhancing the use of composite materials within manufacturing and becoming the regional “go to” workforce-development resource for incumbent and in-transition workers, as well as college and non-college bound students. By providing training and certification programs for composite technicians and engineers that consistently meet and exceed national standards, we will open career pipelines within industries as diverse as energy, aerospace, advanced manufacturing and the building trades.

As New York state moves closer to meeting its renewable energy and offshore wind power goals, local and regional businesses have a unique opportunity to become part of a flourishing domestic industry.
